From the beginning:
We are proud to say that since inception, IRDRP has made a difference in over a million people with direct and indirect help through our various projects. Since 1989, the total financial assistance exceeded over a million.
HEALTH:
- Health clinic and six health centers in remote village of Tirukalikundram block, Kanchipuram District.
- 20,000 patient yearly benefited through our health programs
- Out Station Facilities by using our vehicles average of 10,000 patients cured per year.
- 56 primary schools benefited through school health program
- 700 children covered under anemia correction program in Government Schools
- 25 Commercial sex workers rehabilitated with HIV/AIDS information and STD prevention education.
- One lakh people got HIV/AIDS awareness education through human chain, rally, and IEC materials
- 1500 women, youth and community leaders trained as Master trainers in tsunami affected coastal areas.
- 25 People Living with HIV/AIDS got care and support, rehabilitation activities for women living with HIV/AIDS.
EDUCATION
- Rural children of 1000 drop out children and 1000 School going children received Non Formal education and supplementary education
- 50 children received regular education through Matriculation school
WOMEN DEVELOPMENT
- 30 women trained in leather crafts
- 30 bonded laborers rehabilitated in agriculture farms
HIV/AIDS PROGRAMS
- Prevention and intervention program in Uthukottai Taluk
- 30 Children computer education
- 1000 Religious pastors training to reduce stigma and discrimination in Tamilnadu
- 168 Care of orphan children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS
- 10 Income Generation program to Women living with HIV/AIDS
WELFARE SERVICES
- 25 senior citizens (aged people) got income generation and day care services
- 50000 populations received environmental education
DISASTER RELIEF
- 500 Tsunami affected families received relief and rehabilitation
- 100 houses were reconstructed after a heavy cyclone
- 50 women self help group members received school assistance
- 50 farmers received small loans to reclaimed the lands affected by cyclones
